Music

As a young girl, Maja practiced, practiced and practiced. She also toured and performed a lot. The piano was always number one, however, since upon her arrival in the U.S. she mainly sang. In order to increase her vocal range and build vocal strength, she has decided to study voice. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music, majoring in Vocal Performance from Northern Kentucky University. After graduating from NKU, she has continued her training with various vocal coaches (Gayle Grout, Cornelia Prestel, and Audry Luna), and through educational events for voice (young artist and summer programs) in the U.S. and abroad. She has also participated in American vocal competitions (National Association of Teachers of Singing) and was a winner in her category in 2012 (Evansville, IN) and 2013 (Louisville, KY). Because of her other passions for music history and writing, she also pursued her Master’s degree in Musicology at College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, OH.
